it is recommended that you delete the package directory corresponding to the problematic $GOPATH, and then re-execute

$ go get -u github.com/gin-gonic/gin

should be able to be pulled down correctly. It may be that there is a problem with the pull you pulled earlier (suggested climbing over the wall)
