On the address pin of memory ic

I would like to ask why memory ic10 address pins can specify 1024 different addresses. People on the Internet say that the tenth power of 2 equals 1024.
the question I want to ask is, isn"t there only 10 physical address pins? How to store so many 1024 addresses? Although I know that it is only the 10th power of 2 because it is binary, I just can"t figure out how to specify so many addresses. Why can only 8 bits be transmitted when there are 8 data pins physically, instead of 2 to the eighth power

is addressed by address IO. Imagine that each data unit (such as a byte) has a corresponding address. Then 10 pins, each pin can take high and low level, corresponding to 0000000000-1111111111 memory units (binary), that is, 1024 addresses.
