The agony of front-end development

I have been doing front-end development for a year, and I feel that I have not made any progress. I feel confused about what to do next. Is it that I am not suitable for this career?

I think you lack a clear direction, and the division of labor in front-end positions is becoming more and more detailed. There are many areas of specialization, such as: css animation or special effects, component library design and architecture (subdivided into css and js directions), simple business iterative development (subdivided into PC and mobile directions), business architecture, full stack, games.
not all companies will have these breakdown things to do, most people are in the simple business development direction, because this is the most basic reason for the high demand of the front end, and many people stop there. The ability to develop a business is a must, but beyond that, you have to find an area where you want to be proficient and think carefully about the technology you need, and you will feel different. Some companies with higher technical requirements have begun the division of labor at the component and business logic level, and if they want to develop in the front-end field in the future, they must set a higher goal.

someone once said that if a company has only one technician, it will make rapid progress.
in fact, this statement is wrong, although working alone does give you a wide range of contacts, but you can't master it.

if you can't measure your worth, go out and have a look at other companies

what we fear most when we do IT is to lose the way forward

I think follow your heart. If you are interested, then learn something new. If you are not interested, you can also try other industries. After all, IT industry interest is still very important.

only by doing what you will not, can you make yourself progress

think about why you want to do the front end, do not forget your original heart, and forge ahead. Combined with the actual situation, ask the people around you who can be trusted, have a good chat, and know that your colleagues are not as good as close neighbors. And come on!

think about the year I just graduated, and the harvest is very small, but I am still sticking to it. The best way to beat anxiety is to start dealing with what makes you anxious right away. Keep learning and enrich yourself.

think about using money next month and you'll be motivated.
