Running telnet under win10 prompts you to enter login username to report an error

Chapter 6 of the great Nodejs mentions telnet connections
because win10 does not have a telnet server; So I put down a GoodTech Telnet Server;
and then type telnet 127.0.0.1 in cmd to prompt me for my user name and password, and then I input the computer"s user name and password. I tried this domain name and failed both 127.0.0.1 and localhost,. They both prompted me what might have gone wrong with login failed,.

prompts you to Login failed. This is obviously a client login rather than a server service, isn't it?
I remember that Win10 has both client and server, but you just have to install it in the component (not installed by default), and then turn it on in the service.
